In 2014, our founder spent three hours stranded at Palma Airport after an online booking agency failed to communicate a schedule change. No human answered the phone. The chatbot suggested checking the FAQ.
That frustrating experience sparked a simple question: why had travel become so impersonal? The following year, garnet-river opened its doors in Manchester city centre with a radical proposition—real people creating real journeys for real travellers.
Nine years on, that principle remains unchanged. We have grown from a single desk in a shared office to a team of twelve dedicated consultants, each bringing their own travel expertise and genuine passion for exploration.
